        <p>Nun eröffnet sich die höchst seltsame Wendung, daß trotzdem und trotzdem <hi rend="italic">ich</hi> nach <placeName ref="kbga-places-334">Tambach</placeName> gehen und über den «<ref type="pub" target="48061">Christen in der Gesellschaft</ref>» reden soll.<note xml:id="n01"><bibl corresp="kbga-bibls-1462"><persName ref="kbga-actors-2151">Barths</persName> Vortrag in <placeName ref="kbga-places-334">Tambach</placeName> am <date when="1919-09-25">25.9.1919</date> 
                  «<ref type="pub" target="48061"><hi rend="italic">Der Christ in der Gesellschaft</hi></ref>» erschien zuerst — mit einem Geleitwort von <persName ref="kbga-actors-537">Hans Ehrenberg</persName> — als erstes Heft in «Der Bücher vom Kreuzweg erste Folge» im Patmos-Verlag Würzburg <date when="1920">1920</date></bibl>.                </note> Es ist wirklich ein wenig merkwürdig: auf meinen Brief hin […] sagt [mein Bruder] <persName ref="kbga-actors-27">Peter</persName> ab, schreibt an <persName ref="kbga-actors-457">Bader</persName>, der nun aber bereits für <persName ref="kbga-actors-330">Ragaz</persName> ein<pb xml:id="p343" ed="pga" break="no"/>springen muß, schreibt an <persName ref="kbga-actors-423">Wieser</persName>, der ihm Beiliegendes antwortet, schreibt heute an mich, und mir kommt es vor, die Dinge hätten heute nicht das gleiche Gesicht wie noch vor 14 Tagen. a) Die Belastung durch die Gegenwart von <persName ref="kbga-actors-330">Ragaz</persName> fällt weg. b) Der «<orgName ref="kbga-actors-8244">Christliche Demokrat</orgName>»<note xml:id="n02">Vgl. <ref type="pub" target="3284#fn_n01">Anm. 1 zum Brief vom <date when="1919-07-08">8.7.1919</date></ref>.</note> macht einen hoffnungsvollen Eindruck. c) <persName ref="kbga-actors-607">Herpel</persName> betont, daß er gerade einen von <hi rend="italic">uns</hi> gewünscht hätte. Ich möchte aber nicht ohne dein Einverständnis vorgehen. […] Schreibe mir doch per Eilbrief […] deine Meinung. […] Mein Referat stelle ich mir vor auf den Linien des an Pfingsten in <placeName ref="kbga-places-776">Aarburg</placeName> <ref type="pub" target="48057">Vorgebrachten</ref>;<note xml:id="n03">Vgl. <ref type="pub" target="3280#fn_n01">Anm. 1 zum Brief vom <date when="1919-06-10">10.6.1919</date></ref>.</note> also große Entfaltung der drei Reiche usf. Schicke mir gleichzeitig dies Aarburger Referat zu, es muß noch bei dir sein. Ferner sollte ich alle meine Epheser-Predigten zurück haben. Die brauche ich für die bewußte Repetition. Für den Bettag müßte ich mich dann sofort um einen ernsthaften Ersatz umsehen. […] Ich telephonierte eben an <persName ref="kbga-actors-757">Schädelin</persName>. Er ist selber besetzt. Weißt du mir jemand?</p>
