               durch Ihre Lehre, daß <hi rend="italic">X</hi><note xml:id="n03">Christus.</note> eventuell auch nicht gelebt haben könnte. Ganz
          <placeName ref="kbga-places-322">St. Andrews</placeName> spricht noch heute davon, und ich habe die größte Mühe, in deutscher und
               englischer Sprache zu erklären, was Kritisches Sie damit gemeint haben könnten. Aber
               bis jetzt ist Alles umsonst, und diese ganze Sache wird glatt auf mein Konto
               geschrieben! Im Übrigen ist es sehr schön hier, und der Gedanke an das kontinentale
               Reich der Finsternis erschreckt uns nur aus weiter Ferne.</p>
